According to the 2021 population estimates, 18 urban settlements dropped below the threshold of 200 inhabitants and 8 got over this mark compared to the 2020 figures. Ravnsbjerg settlement in Esbjerg municipality was renamed as Guldager Stationsby.

According to the 2020 population estimates, 12 urban settlements dropped below the threshold of 200 inhabitants and 11 got over this mark compared to the 2019 figures. Bråskov and Gamløse are listed for the first time.
